1 c Sugar 1/2 c Raisins 1 c Shortening (half butter or -margarine) 1 3/4 c Flour 1 ts Baking soft drink 2 Eggs 1/2 ts Salt 1 ts Vanilla 1/2 ts Cinnamon 1 c Rolled oats Mix sugar, shortening, eggs, as well as vanilla thoroughly. Blend superfluous reduction in to cutting mixture. Refrigerate mix 4 to 5 hours or overnight. Heat oven to 375. Roll mix in to 1 in. balls as well as place upon an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with greased bottom of potion dipped in sugar. Bake 10 minutes. Makes about 4-1/2 dozen cookies. (55 cookies; twenty-eight per lb.)
