2 T Lukewarm H2O 4 T Sugar

5 c Plain flour 1 t Salt

1 t Soda 1 c Shortening

2 c Buttermilk

Dissolve leavening in water. Into the bowl, differentiate flour with alternative dry ingredients. Cut in shortening, supplement buttermilk, afterwards supplement leavening mixture. Stir until all flour is dampened. Knead upon floured house the minute, hurl to preferred thickness, as well as cut with the biscuit cutter. Bake during 400 degrees about twelve minutes.
